Well, its been an interesting (and sad) past week for me. Early last week one of my friends from high school IM'd me to tell me that one of our mutual friends had cancer. They removed one of his testicles but by the time the operation was completed the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes. So that put me in a shitty mood. It's always the person you'd least expect it to happen to. My friend is in the army (in training) and is an awesome guy whom I've never seen sick since I've known him. At this point we are trying to establish a benefit dinner to help alleviate some of the costs from his surgeries and his chemo treatment. On top of that, I found out about 2 days ago (from the same friend that told me about my buddies cancer) that a girl we graduated high school with was killed in downtown chicago when a cab struck her. She was also an awesome person even though we never really hung out or talked outside of school since we were in different "cliques". But she was always very nice to everyone no matter who they were, plus she was very intelligent and beautiful(i.e. VERY hot). She had just graduated college with a biology degree and was applying for dentistry school. This is a pic of her that I found with one of the articles online And please, no immature comments in this thread. It's hardly the time or the place for them.
