Message: <blockquote data-quote="fuster" data-source="post: 5298096" data-attributes="member: 604663">Go find a shop you like, have them give you an estimate.  That is the only way to check what your insurance is telling you.  Make sure it is a reputable shop.   Find a place that works on european cars.   Don't even think about going to Maaco.If the car is not driveable, which that appears to be the case, many/most shops will send an estimator to you as long as it is not too far out of reach.   Take pictures of the interior with the doors open, the engine compartment with the hood up and the back with the trunk/hatch up, for your records.  Pull up the mat in the trunk to check the sheet metal under it.  Crumple zones can appear untouched when in fact they are not, so you have to look carefully for signs of distortion.  Some of it is not detectable without measuring.</blockquote>
