Only the 8” version is different as it uses a mini Ti style 6 spoke frame, different motor, 2” coil instead of a 3”, and has 18mm of xmax with an rms rating of 300-400w. In standard trim these subs are built to sound damn good with incredible low end output with excellent efficiency. 1000-1200w rms they are perfect sealed or ported. For those that spl comes first they can be built for that purpose. You instantly notice the increase of overall output and low end output. I will be honest and can’t say how they compare to what you have but will say that when it comes to sound, it’s purely subjective. Everyone has their own taste when it comes to sound and the only real way to know is to try something out. Currently I have what is needed to build 2 more 15’s and I’m out of spiders. For a 12” I currently only have 4 spoke frames and I’m limited on spiders on that frame as well. I have TI frames but the versions I build on those are way overkill for most and shipping on subs that are 55 pounds or 107 pounds is just insane right now lol. Right now I’m building 8’s like a mad man as I had a bunch of guys local including myself who are going on an 8” craze . Im gonna slap 4 in the car sealed and see how they do. I’ve already done this many times but they are all excited and I don’t wanna ruin it for them lol.

[QUOTE="djdilliodon!, post: 8774643, member: 684299"] the 12’s are identical other than size obviously but can also be done with the classic 4 spoke frame. Only the 8” version is different as it uses a mini Ti style 6 spoke frame, different motor, 2” coil instead of a 3”, and has 18mm of xmax with an rms rating of 300-400w.
