Is this too small?

if my current sealed box is 32"w x 13"h x 12"d and i built a sealed box that was 28"w x 13"h x 17"d would that really improve my sound? or would it be like going in circles?....a waste of time? the subs are a pair of 12" CVR's

its only about a half of a cubic foot bigger, i dont think you will really be able to tell a difference. id say take one of them and make it ported for a single cvr and see how you like that

But seriously, IMO it wont be to much of a difference , or you could try ported

haha. i'm aiming for more of a sq than spl, so i dont think i'd like ported that much. i want clean/deep bass, and i think my box i got now is too small and is probably why it doesnt sound that good. would the bigger box be a step up from what i got now?
