The speakers never distorted when I played them though, so I assumed the 200w I was giving them to be okay.edit; just pulled off the plastic cone (didnt realize it was only screwed in) and looked down into the voicecoil with a flashlight and it doesn't look clean at all in there... i'm not speaker specialist so i dont know how much dirt is "normal." Could someone tell me if a little dist and debris on the inside of the voice coil is okay? I did see the short occur at those locations..</blockquote>
