Also it seems to have trouble picking up HD at higher speeds maybe from wind moving the antenna, or I just may have been still too far out of reception as I was on the highway.
Title I had to pay the extra $ to get HD radio when I had to purchase a new HU. I thought the idea of it is sweet. I love listening to it, and it is almost ipod quality. I do get a lot of dead spots though as HD radio will completely cut off if below threshold and not just decrease in quality like regular FM. Also it seems to have trouble picking up HD at higher speeds maybe from wind moving the antenna, or I just may have been still too far out of reception as I was on the highway. Right now I have on a rubber antenna purchased at napa. I was wondering if there are higher quality antennas that get better reception or if an antenna is just an antenna. Thanks.
