Ok so after reading a good amount of posts with the DD Z1 amps my question is are they fixed now from the problems with the protection circuits or what ever it was with over heating. If so how long has it been fixed I am probably going to get a used one and then I will know when it was bought if I will have a problem or not. If it is a old one any one know what DD wants to fix them so there isn't a problem.

Thanks guys

Chris

So that means it is yet to be fixed I take it. If I bought one I was looking at a used one and I doubt DD would do much for me if it broke because it was not me who got it from DD. I have seen many of them going for 1000 plus shipping and that is way better than the 1500 that I was told new so..... but if they haven't been fixed yet kind of scares me to ge one. Def looks like a better amp as do the DDS amps than my other thought. Soundstream amps

I wouldnt touch a Z1 without some sort of warranty. Sorry if this craps on anyones "for sale" thread indireclty, but the truth is the truth the Z1 line has had significant problems.

Thank you for the info still looks like a amazing amp even for 1500 thanks. So how is DD with fixing them if they break you end up paying shipping both ways or do they take care of it what about the actual price of getting it fixed. thanks

I thought the Z2 was the one that didn't like low voltage. And the one that was made more for spl comps than daily driving and how much is the price on it?

This is going to be used more for daily than anything . I didn't think the z2 was the right amp for my needs.
