I have a 10" Massive Audio Kilo 104. The product manual that came with the subwoofer states that a sealed enclosure should be .75 cu ft taking into account displacement which is .0963, that would be a box with a total volume of .85. The manual on Massive's website gives a range of .88 (small)-1.25(large) for sealed enclosures including displacement. The guy I had build me a box at a local shop said the box should be .8 cu ft ?? He said he was calculating off of different specs in the manual. Now granted I have no clue about this stuff, but a net volume of .70 sounded outside of recommended specs....so I asked him to just make it 1 cu ft...he said OK. I went to pick it up today and I get home and measure it and it is .8 before subtracting displacement. I paid $150 for this thing, I want it to be right. He mentioned calculating off of Vas and stuff like that. I haven't called him since he was gone when I went and picked it up, but I just want to make sure I have my ducks in a row.
