Message: <blockquote data-quote="adam71" data-source="post: 484116" data-attributes="member: 549079">Back in the old days when all home amplifiers were tube amps I would totally agree with that.  But today there are a few mfgs that make very nice, low distortion, decent damp factor tube amps.  Lets also not forget that sound quality is subjective the same way that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  The same audiophiles that have a fascination with tube amps are the same people who love vinyl over any other format.  Though vinyl is high maintenance it is superior to 16 bit cds.  Oh well, just my opinion.adam</blockquote>
