I obviously have a Lincoln LS, and it has 6x8 openings for the speakers. So I bought a set of CDT ES620's, and set up an appointment at the local Autotoys to have them installed. At time of installation, I was told they were too big to install due to the depth and size of the magnet. So then I recently bought some SLC265's, and yesterday Autotoys said it's physically impossible to install 6.5's into a 5x7 opening. I threw a nutty and left. So I'm on a mission to do it myself. Is it really that hard to mount the tweeters and crossovers? I'm going to be buying an adapter plate to install the mids, which doesn't seem like a problem. My only concern is cutting a spot for the tweeters and figuring out a place to hide the crossovers. This will be a first for me. Can anyone tell me what I might need for this install? Thanks
