As the title says, Is it a must to fuse the line from positive on battery to alt?? I have a 200 amp alt and a total of around 2700 watts rms between my 2 amps. I have 1/0 ran from front to back and am doing the big 3 in 1/0 from weldingsupply.com. The insulation on their 1/0 does not look very thick at all. Do you think it will be fine in the heat of the engine bay?? I am doing the big 3 tomorow and if a fuse is a must, will I be fine using it without a fuse until I get one?
