If you have a weak battery because your first ALT took a crap - charge the battery before installing another alternator. (trickle at 0.1A or the like for 10-12 hours) The alternator will not help a weak battery especially if your pounding away minutes&nbsp; after you finish the ALT install. Proper diagnosis and care to make sure the whole electrical system is functioning properly should be top priority over - lets see what happens when I crank this sh!t 10 seconds after the install is done.&nbsp; If the old unit went out - it died for a reason and the battery make kill the new one.</blockquote>
