When the iPod is paused, and the volume turned up, you can really hear it. In fact, it sounds like you can hear the actual mechanism of the hard drive. Along with the fine buzzing, there is faint &#039;clicking&#039; and &#039;beeping&#039; that relate to the scrolling of the album title and maybe the standby of the hard-drive while being paused.
