Message: <blockquote data-quote="nineball" data-source="post: 5954737" data-attributes="member: 585829">that is not correct. some of the ida-x100 units work with the 3g, some do not. there is no reasoning behind this. i had the x100 and it would not recognize my 3g. i talked to alpine directly who informed me that the only hu they produce that is guaranteed to work with the 3g is the x305.i have a kenwood x993 and it works perfectly with my 3g - charges, displays all info on screen, very fast to start play (under 5 seconds). no addition cables were needed either. i just plugged the white apple cord into the built-in usb cable of the x993 and that was it.</blockquote>
