Moved from General Forum. My first post. Car - 2008 Impala Head unit - Kenwood DDX 719 using Pac adaptor set to no external amp. Blue and white amp trigger from Kenwood direct to sub. Subwoofer - Pioneer TS-WX 1010A with built in amp. Problem Intermittent. Sub will stop working with blue light flashing on sub. It seems if I place the car in accessory the sub starts up fine. If I then start the car it continues to operate but sometimes stops (flashing blue light on sub) for no reason. The flashing is not consistant pattern like an error code but more random as if the power is on and off. If I ignore it will sometimes come back on it's own but that is rare. If I turn the car off, place in accessory the sub starts again. Repeat cycle. If I start the car cold without starting the sub in accessory it will rarely start the sub and will have blue light flashing on sub. I have confirmed good trigger voltage from Kenwood, good power from battery through 8ga wire to battery. I immediately suspected intermittent grounding but ground is good. It seems to me there is something wrong with the sub but I suppose it is possible the trigger from the Kenwood could be glitching causing sub to act up. Any advice on what to try would be appreciated.
