It says one side is the ground and the other is power - not sure what the middle 2 squares are for. So we don&#039;t have a way to power the amp. We took the 2 by 2 plug and split it so that the ground was grounded, and the power had power, but the middle 2 squares had no plug.And problem #2 - After installing the new head unit and connecting it via included RCA inputs to the Sony Xplod amp, we decided to test it thus far. In theory, the head unit would send radio to the Xplod amp, which would send its input to the back two speakers - and we&#039;d hear music. But that didn&#039;t happen. Instead of hooking it to the battery yet, we powered it using a jump box - + on the amp input power wire and ground on the metal. The amp didn&#039;t turn on - it didn&#039;t even have a red light (which I think is protect mode?). Could this be because it didn&#039;t detect a fuse in the circuit?
