First off I have little if any experience in car audio, I just cannot afford to pay to have it installed. My friend works at Circuit City as a car audio technician, and is hesitant to do it for me, because, well, you know about that hesitancy if you are a car audio technician for any electronics or car audio store. This means I am stuck doing it myself. Anyway on to the bloody problem then. I have two '92 Mits Eclipses (one a parts car the other the one I drive). The parts car originally had an amp in it which was stolen, and the wires and all that stuff were torn and frayed. I am not sure which is the ground and blah blah blah, and it is hard to get under the middle console in the car to find where the wires are connected so I can disconnect them. I found the red and white cables, and all that stuff but I am not sure which of the cables in the parts car is the ground and all that stuff. There is a thinner sky blue cable going up into the console and probably connects to where the head unit was. There is another thicker red cable going up past the brake and what looks like into the engine compartment. I am hoping all the wiring is there so I don't have to go buy a new wiring kit and start all over, and plus i dont have that money anyway. The amp is a Dual XAF460. The 460 obviously implies is is 460 watts. As you can tell I know almost nothing, much less were to begin, please don't make fun of me I'm coming here for help. If anyone can help me in any way I would appreciate it. Oh yeah the HU in my car is a Sony....but it should have a preamp so that I can connect the amp right? -Ragnarok
