Using the harness makes things quick and easythe harness u buy at walmart ($10-15) will wire to the harness on the cd player and give u plug and play with your factory harness making things easy and orderly. It should also come with a needed atenna adapter. Im pretty sure its the same harness in my 98 gmc jimmy.</blockquote>
