I just installed an iraggi alternator and have a couple questions. I did buy a new belt, but Dom said running a half inch short would be slightly better, but it didn't fit, so I ran my original belt. Everything seems fine except when my car idles, it switches from like 600-900-1000 rpms some, and the humming changes tone a little, I didn't know if this was normal. The alt I just put in has a slightly smaller pulley, but Autozone said it should be fine. Also, my voltage drops slightly, from 14.44v to 14.1v when driving and idling but dont' know why this would be happening. My alt idles at 170 amps and maxes at 220 amps. Is it possible my belt isn't letting my alt idle at 170 amps? Or is 600-1000 enough to give it 170 amps to idle? Thanks.
