The sub hits harder and sounds better if i wire it up to 8 ohms. today i rewired it back down to 2 ohm. popped in a 50hz test tone and started by setting HU vol up to 42(max is 62). i reached a target voltage of 44 volts(1000 rms). reconnected the speaker and started playing music at a volume 42. Sub was not loud and amp was clipping. i backed the vol down to 40 and no more clipping but the sub is just not loud. I played lil scrappy's "no problems" and checked with my dmm and at vol 40 with no clipping i am getting around 42 volts. But when i had the sub wired to 8 ohm it hit harder and sounded better. i mean it makes no sense to me cuz when i had the sub wired to 8 ohm and played no problem it was louder. i was seeing 96 volts out the amp to the sub and the clip light was constantly on but i wasnt getting any distortion. according to the math when i had the sub wired to 8 ohm the amp was pushing a lil over 1100 watt. clip light was on constantly but no distortion it just banged pretty hard. so 1100 watt at 8ohm hit harder and got louder than 1000 watt at 2ohm. it makes no sense to me at all. someone help??????????? o and i do know what clipping is and i can hear it very well in the sub when its clipping!

[QUOTE="liftedcj7on44s, post: 2977639, member: 575614"] well i am all out of options.
