I'm installing a pair of TC-2000's into the trunk of a daily driver. For day-to-day use I'd like to have a grille to protect the aluminum cones, but it would be great if I could figure out a way to quickly and cleanly remove them for when I want to show it off. For those who aren't aware, these are fairly high excursion subs with 28mm xmax. Quite honestly, I'd like the protection of waffle grilles, in spite of the looks. I realize I'd have to shim them out quite a bit to allow for excursion. Does anyone have ideas, examples, pictures, advice, etc?
