Yes It sounds like a crazy idea but I am set on it. I know it is possible but I also don't want to spend 1000 dollars on converting it. The amp is a Brutus 2400 (I believe ~200 amps at full power) . I was set on buying 4 600 Watt computer power supplies but I come to find out I need to worry about amps, not Watts. I saw videos where the amp is connected to.a.car battery and the car battery to a charger. I know this would work but how much listen time would I actually have at say 50% volume? Gain set at 85ish%? I would get an Optima yellow top. (maybe 2?) I highly doubt ill ever listen at 100% volume, and if so just for a small period. and by the way the videos I saw and threads I've read are only with amps under 1000w that's why I decided to make a thread, I can't seem to find anything and I've searched for a while. I remember watching a YouTube video years and years ago where someome had an 18" solo x at home.. once again this would like a home theater with occasional loud music but rarely. I don't really want to buy another amp/speakers, id really like to use what I already have! thanks all!!
