(he had the fronts and the backs almost playing equal lololol) i brought my iasca disc over and tuned it (he still has my disc) but that thing was HORRIBLE i ended up almost turning the rears almost off then eqed it. guess what? it sounded 100 times better louder and clearer. u would be suprised about how low you actually have to turn your system up to hear it when its done right. things wont cancel eachother out (oh btw he had the left front tweeter and the center mid bass wired polarity correct but due to their locations to the listeners they were no longer in phase so we flipped them -/+ +/-) and i wish i had anyone of you people who swear by rear fill to be there when i did it i would bet you almost anything you would forget about anything fancy about rear fill. wanna do a little test? drop rocks in mud puddles at the same time when the rocks are a 2 feet apart and tell me what the waves do then take the same 2 rocks in one hand and drop them in at the same time....i think the ones apart working AGAINST eachother will colide and cancel eachother out while making not so "good" waves where they meet and the 2 rocks put together will make bigger waves that dont fight and stretch out alot farther in the pool. same thing happens with sound. when the fronts are working good TOGETHER (unless its a rag top car or a weird van) the fronts will make their own natural rear fill.

[QUOTE="audiolife, post: 634366, member: 541383"] no it doesnt only reason you think it does is because something else is out of wack. sound waves cancel eachother out very easily and you cant tune a system without propper material. meaning you cant tune a system using madonna or creed. you must see how it stages before you do anything else. if you have all of your speakers wired + to + - to - i will bet you have a fight going on in the front as well as the back. people often under estimate the power of clarity but trust me i been there done that and i had 1 car with rear fill try stageing 27 speakers in an escort..i had 8 speakers of rear fill not including subs that was a bonnefied mother f'er to set up and it sounded louder AND CLEARER when i uhooked the rear fill ppi 4200 amp that powered those. another example is my old car its a show car again with a much different show system in it it has 5 8" memphis multi syncs in it. the lft rt and center has a mc-500 bridged to each one then right in front of a wall of 8 12's is 2 more running off a stereo mc-500 amp (memphis amps) . the guy who owns it was tunning it with pop music to where he thought it sounded awesome.
