Hi guys im vary new to car audio and need some expert answers for my question. I have 2 15 inch L7 4ohm dual VC subs. They are each powerd by their own Kicker 750Z.1 amp. When i first got the subs they were thrown in a small prefab box that was about 2 cubic per sub. Yesterday my friend got done building me a beautiful custom fiberglass box. It is 3 cubic per sub and tuned to 38 hz he said. This thing is sweet. He didint have time to set the amps to the new box. The new box sounds awsome but the old prefab seemed to get louder on the higher bass notes. My question is will it make a big diffrence once the amps are set to the new enclosure. He said the crossover might have to be tweeked and the gains reset. I would try to do this myself but i know when your running 2 amps they have to be set with a multi meter. Will this make a big diffrence once i have a pro tweek the amps? Thanks for any input you guys have. I will take pictures this weekend and post them.
