Just when I thought I had a handle on this car audio mess, I buy some new Alpine SPS-610c components. Installation is faily straight forward until I get this yellow thing, that is called a "network", that goes between the speaker and the tweeter. I'm guessing this acts as a capacitor of some sort. The issue is, where the heck do I mount this thing? for the record, I blew the tweeter within less than 2 hours of listening. The woofer is fine. The set is rated for 90w rms and my amp puts out 150w @ 4ohms, but the gain is just below half the way up. The HPF is on at both the HU and the amp. Right around 80fhz.
