Well, I can't search the threads for some reason. I know there's already a thread for best bass tracks. I need to either find a thread with best over all music production, or this can be that thread. I'm about to go buy some 2nd hand reference monitors, and I want to make sure whatever CD I pop in to check them out has great sound engineering. Basically, what songs or albums have you heard recent or past that are crisp, clear, punchy bass, and just make you feel like the artist is right in front of you playing. I searched the web and some of the results I got were: Miles Davis - Kind of Blue Beatles- Dark Side of the moon Beatles - Abbey Road Loveless - My Bloody Valentine Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea The Microphones - Mount Eerie As you can see, these are all results from European perspectives. I mean I know the Beatles and Miles Davis of course; but they lost me on all the other artists, so I won't even continue. I can go with R&B, Soul, Jazz, Alternative, Classic Rock, maybe Country. Nothing too heavy and loud where I can't sort through the sounds. Decent Hip Hop tracks welcome as well... although its hard to find great production in most. Thanks to all that reply:D
