If the amp says it's 1 ohm stable, then it is stable to the amount that it is rated to, more or less. What is it rated to, and what can the Qs handle? Your subs don't **** power. Your amp pushes it. The amount of power that is running is dependent on the signal level (what your HU dishes out) and the gain setting on the amp. I assume your Qs are 2 ohms? If you just had one of those on it, and the gain very low and it was still messing up, your RCAs are likely bad. Try plugging an MP3 player into the inputs (make sure the volume on it is all the way down to start!) with an 1/8" to RCA cord. If that works fine, it would eliminate the possibility that the amp, power, or ground, or subs are the problem.
