Well...I chose the escalade for a few reasons...

1) I like big cars with lots of room. There is a lot you can do audio/video wise.

2) I've had a BMW 740iL and a 328, both were 2001 and they were the biggest pieces of **** I have ever dealt with.

3) Supra? Sorry, don't do the whole Fast and the Furious thing, its not for me.

4) Old classic cars are cool, but nowhere near reliable enough for me. Personally i'm not a big fan of anything built back then other than a caddy.

id take the m3. i love those cars. they ony cost like 50k too so thats another 20k into mods //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I would take my 93 explorer and give it an entirely new engine, new suspension, katzkin the interior, most amazing sound system ever, bulletproof windows, new paint job, and it still looks stock from the outside so I don't get jacked. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Then I'd take the extra $50,000 and invest it in some small company and make it grow.

Anyways, name any muscle car that can do an 8 second 1/4 mile with only a little tuning ...

By the way, 911 Turbos, Corvette Z06s, and Vipers do 12s stock ... I doubt anyone is going to say any of those cars are "pansy-ass Miatas"
ooo, with the shut down. I feel the urge to bust out one of hte "owned" pictures I got from Steve....

oh i never said a little tuning, i'd dump 100g's into it, if i wasn't poor:(. and aren't corvettes and vipers made in the US? the miata comment was just merely stating that if u want a drag car, i'd go all american, not japanese, etc. cuz i don't know of many nissan's that can do

you might want to stress the words 'a lot'. It would **** near take your waking life to get a skyline running 8's. Im not saying it hasnt or couldnt be done, but its not as easy as everyone thinks...an 8 second 1/4 mile is fast as ****.

Anyways, anyone watch that episode of Hi-Rev Tuners where they did a showcase on the fastest Civic in the world ... Top Speed = 180 mph ... Doesn't a 911 Turbo beat that STOCK ?? LOL Heavily tuned Civic (with over 400 hp) built for top speed can't even beat stock 911 Turbos, Vipers, and Z06s ... Sad ...

Oh I didn't mean to make it sound like that, I was just stating the fact that it was hard, very hard...

And just to add one more thing, civics are sad.

Originally posted by nswartley civics should not be allowed to drive over 80 mph.....its retarded....they are so slow. and i own one......
haha. At first I thought you were gonna unreasonably hate on them, but then you said you own one. That's funny.

Yeah, my sis owns an 84 accord i-4. Not ok.

yea dont get me wrong its a great daily driver and it has good mileage/life etc...but its slow as ****. my dad has a 96 accord v6 and its much faster....i dont mind driving it at all

So much for sticking to the topic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'd get a 2003 Nissan Z350 (maxed out).. after buying it you still have ~$40 K to work with.. that's some nice costom engine/suspension work.. trim packages, nice paint.. BOOMn' stereo.. And, after all that, I'd still have $20 K to pay off my Blazer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Caddys ****.. they are over rated, over priced, and under productive.. I have no stomache for all these 'luxury' SUVs that are HUGE.. hell, some don't even come with 4-wheel drive?? It's all about "look" now, makes me sick.. damm socker moms not likeing their mini-vans.. so they piss away tons of money for something they will almost NEVER use and waste a lot of resources for no reason (SUVs are gas hogs).. I mean, if you plan on taking your Escalade off-road (and I don't mean just down a gravel driveway, I mean OFF ROAD where you get all muddy and have to drive 'hard' through some stuff on occasion to get where you are going..), then sure.. get one.. but to have some UGLY POS just so you can brag? *shrug*

BMWs are nice.. a buddy of mine has an M3.. bent a valve on the straight 6... still runs pretty good (choppy at idle, but still gets up to 70 ok).. And, some day I'd even like to get a beemer or porche (though the 350Z beats the Boxster, so)..

I used to want a supra, then all this ricing crap started.. now I'd not drive one if it was given to me *sigh*..

As for old muscle cars.. YES, I will build one 'soon'.. but I'd rather have something more utilitarian first.. something like a beasty 68 comarro SS or 69 Chevelle SS or something (perhaps more exotic?) will be a nice toy, but like Jmac pointed out, they aren't very good handlers.. You 'can' tweek the suspension, but it will never compete with a new sports car's suspension designed from the ground up with the specific car in mind *shrug*..

You need a good thorough beating if you wouldn't take a nice 94+ supra tt if it was given to you...

do some research man.....most older muscle can and has been made to handle as good as some of todays iron..and given companys such as advance adapters....and several others....and there is nothing wrong with pulling
