It may have been a ground issue since I noticed that when it was installed, they did not sand down the paint.  After doing so, that weird distortion only happened at volumes higher than I would listen to in the car (and with the car off), so  as of right now, I believe it is fixed.  The sub also seemed to move a little more freely than it did before re-wiring the ground.</p></blockquote><p></p>
