I had stock alt, yellow top in front and 1.7 farad cap in the back.  well my mounts on the cap broke so I took it out.... 15 mins later my alt went out... so that cap was helping my system and was keeping the voltage on my car good.  After that I put a new alternator in (still stock), did big three and upgraded to 1/0 gauge and put the yellow top in the back and it is a lot better than the cap was.  just saying the cap wasn't a bad thing for my car was actually keeping my alternator alive.</p></blockquote><p></p>
