I am looking at the Sundown E Series 8" Subwoofer Dual Voice Coil 2 Ohm in series and they are rated at 200 Watts RMS. I am looking at SQ and using this just to fill in the lower freqs below the Component set that I am considering. I have not purchased anything yet. I am really curious if a 180W-250 RMS at 4 Ohms bridged amplifier is going to be enough for this speaker? Or does it really need more? The component set I am looking at is the JL C2-650 as I found them for $145 vs the Hertz ESK 165 for $279 and I can not tell any sound difference. This is going into a 69 Convertible Firebird and the sub will most likely be placed in the floor board between the driver seat and the back seat. I do not care about pounding bass that will move the car down the road. I mostly listen to Heavy Metal, Rock, Jazz and Blues. Hip Hop is the closest thing to Rap I might listen to. Thanks Ray
