Civil, like fishing with the buds. A 5-farad capacitor is quite sufficient for a 2,500 watt system. the rule is, "1-farad per 1,000 watts." When looking at power for a sub amp, it has to do a lot with how fast the amp can get that power. A capacitor will supply power much faster than an AGM battery, and having the capacitor near the amp is ideal. A capacitor can discharge its entire charge in and instant. No battery can do that. When bass hits, that amp is demanding all the power it can get right at that point. This is why caps are so beneficial. A cap will even discharge much faster than a lithium bank, which is just an accumulation of lithium batteries. It's great for huge sound systems during competitions. However, they will be mounted right near the amps with cables that are larger than spec. A Stinger cap is much better than a Boss cap. A cheap Boss cap might even hurt the system more than help it. Again, I've been doing this for a long time while working in very large shops. I loved learning more why components were used other what components to use.
