You never want to play your subs at the MAX RMS. If there rated 400RMS you want probably want to find a amp that does 800watts at 1ohm. Personally I would find a 1000-1200 amp and wire it to 1ohm. You also have to consider the amp will put the rated power at 14v. If you don't have any electrical upgrades then you won;t get the full power of the amp. Also you will have box rise. So its always better to overpower your subs a bit but not too much unless you know what you are doing.
