set my gains with my o-scope, ended up being a little more than 5v with my sub level at 0, so the gain's ~55% of the way up... that was with a 0db tone at full volume, so i can still clip the hell out of it if i turn my sub output all the way up, but i usually have the sub output @ -3 to +1 (-15 to +15 is the range) i've got no way of knowing what the amp actually puts out, but it can rock my type-x's, which are way less efficient than the l7's, that why i think something's wrong... the amp's more than capable also, single bass hits (like the actual beat of the song) are NASTY loud, the beat in that system of a down song, don't know the name, but lyrics are "i'm just sitting in my car and WAITING FOR MY GIRL" gets insane, but tones have less than desireable output, which makes me think it's a problem with either the port being too close to the hatch, or port area, like some of you suggested
