It sounds to me you've had bad luck with Pioneer and great luck with Alpine. I've been into car audio since the late 80s. I have owned many decks such as Denon, Alpine, Eclipse and of course Pioneer. The 2 that I had the most problems with were the Denon and the Alpine with Eclipse finishing 3rd. The only brand of decks I've never had major problems with was my Pioneers. And to say Alpines make anything sound better doesn't make any sense. Any aftermarket deck will make stock speakers sound better.

So while I agree you've had bad luck with Pioneer that does NOT make your blanket statement true. The 2 Alpines I've had felt very cheap to me. But I never had one of their high end decks either. I now use the Pioneer P9 combo and it's built like a tank and operates flawlessly. Not to mention it sounds STELLAR!!!

So I guess I have to agree with the guy that said Pioneer gives a better bang for the buck.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
