just wondering how accurate it is...when i did my calculations for what length i need (long hand formula set up in a spreadsheet)

i got 30.7 hz for my tuning frequency.

in psp's calculator, when i plug in my numbers i have, it is for 32hz.

so im wondering what will be the correct tuning for a 5ft^3 box (net) with 2 6" aero ports at 26.4" long a piece?

can somone double check my math and let me know if my 30.7 hz is the correct tuning frequency that those aero's would give me?

As long as it sounds good then I wouldn't worry about it too much. I use it to get a general idea of what port length that I'd like to have, but then end up tuning it to my liking afterwards.

but i want to tune it to a certain frequency. i dont want to get my ports all cut, and set, and glued in. and then find that it may sound decent, but its not at the frequency i want it to be.

i wanna tune my box to 31-32 hz, i dont wanna get it done and it be tuned at 36.

so thats why im asking if anyone can double check my numbers, and not check them using any online calculators. i just wanna make sure mines correct or incorrect

thats what im doing, im using the net vollume of my enclosure on there program, but the tuning i get there is 32 hz for the length im using and when i did the long hand equation i get 30.7 hz, i knows its not to big of a difference but which one is correct.

thus why i am asking how accurate psp's calculator is, or if its off a little and my answer is the actual correct answer...

when u calculate the box u have to account for sub displacement and PSP displacement.....then with ur final cu ft....u run that throu PSP calc
Not what they said when I talked to them. They said it was a rough GROSS volume calc that accounts for the ports and average sub displacement and 3/4 wood used. I dunno though. It was pretty accurate for me.

I hear BBP6 is very accurate.

well that just makes no sense...not calling u a liar but what if u were making a box for multiple subs...

i have no idea why it would assume you use 3/4 wood nad your putting gross volume, makes more sense to put in net volume
i agree. it'd be easy to adjust whatever formula they have to account for internal volume of the box - sub displacement.

I agree.

not my site, not my calc. I just use psp ports enough to call them.
