That way if needed you can fit one more person in the third seat. The short half, on the passenger side, is the one that slides forward for third seat access.The rest of it is pretty straightforward. The HU is double DIN. The factory 10" sub is behind a panel in the back on the passenger side. If you rip that out there's room for electronics. There is also a panel under the rear deck that's for third seat headrest storage. You could use that for amps but there isn't much air circulation.Good luck.</blockquote>
