I picked up a little amp on egay to do a 400W install on a friend's car. I have the option of using a LOC that I have or using the high level input harness that came with the amp. Either way, the signal will be coming from the speakers in the rear deck. I want to just use the high level input to save some money and hold onto my LOC, but I don't have any experience with using the high level inputs on the amp. Some things wouldn't change. The volume of the sub will still be tied to the rear channels of the car, etc. However, will there be any difference in the quality of the sound? Also, is 8 ga sufficient for this install or should I use 4ga? I have both. Edit: It's a 20amp fuse on the amp, but I can't find the wire chart.
