Actually that pipeline for the most part wanted to use foreign steel, foreign workers and send the oil overseas. It also had a lot to do with the way they conduct business, trying to have people's land condemned instead of giving them a fair price on it. There is a lot more than environmental issues on that whole deal. We have made most of our problems ourselves. Everyone looking for the cheapest product pushing manufacturing overseas. I believe there are a lot of people that want a job that cant find one. If people would look for American made products and spend the extra money to purchase it we would have a much stronger economy. Buying local instead of over the internet, to support people who support their community would give you stronger schools, police, fire, rescue, and better roads. Of course everyone complains the prices are to high, but I never hear of anyone saying they make to much money? The American worker has also gotten lazy, showing up late if at all, complaining about everything, and doing the bare minimum at work, makes you wonder why they are shifting jobs overseas and hiring immigrants. Even the Americans who work basically expect employee welfare. We have some of the cheapest gas prices in the world and people bitch. But they still buy the biggest trucks and suvs they can get, drive to fast and to much, and complain it's the Presidents fault. We are reaping what we are sowing as people. Why would we expect the government to balance it's budget when most Americans are in debt up to their eyeballs. Always needing the latest and greatest, biggest and best. I think if Americans themselves would pull their heads out of their collective asses we could fix the country no matter who the President is. I voted for Romney. I am afraid what Obama is going to do, but hopeful that maybe something good will happen. I respect the position he holds and pray for him and his family.
