Non-round speakers have more propensity for the cone to distort. An oval is not as strong as a cone. Highschool science tells us this. With that said, the relative weakness of an oval cone may not become a huge factor. Some companies these days are making some nice oval coned speakers. Id love to try some of ID's new 6x9's, for example. But yeah I tend to agree. Nobody makes a nice 5x7 that I know of. In that size you will only find low to medium quality speakers intended for the budget minded noob who doesn't know any better than to replace his factory speakers with exactly the same size. You say you want all these speakers and tweeters because you want it 'loud and clear'. Do you really believe you cant acquire loud and clear results from a 2-soundsource setup, considering the music is recorded in stereo? If you put tweeters behind you, you dont want loud and clear, you want that techo-club sound.
