Hey whats up fellow forum members? As you can tell I'm new to the forum and I'm seeking help. I'm looking for information for a new set up, hopefully I'm posting this in the correct section. I currently have a 2003 Honda Civic coupe. This is whats currently installed in my car: Pioneer DEH-7300BT head unit Pioneer TS-A1674R speakers in the doors Pioneer TS-A6964R 6x9's behind the rear seats Here's what I'm looking to purchase: Rockford Fosgate PRIME R500-1 Amplifier JL Audio 10W6v2-D4 Subwoofer I've done my homework on the sub and amp and I'm almost positive I will be buying. What I am unsure of is what enclosure I should buy. I want a ported enclosure because I was told that it will have a better kick than sealed. Am I on the right track with the amp/sub combo and the ported enclosure? Also what enclosure would be best, I've seen ones online but the low msrp's don't really scream quality. Also I need a good amp wiring kit for my setup, some people are telling me wires don't make any difference, but I think that's complete bs. I also am curious if installing dynamat in the trunk and doors would be worth it? Lastly would it be a good idea to get a second subwoofer to power the speakers and 6x9's? If so, what model amp would you recommend? Sorry for all the questions, but everyone is giving me different, conflicting opinions. Any help, suggestions, or opinions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Edit: Looks like I should get rid of the pioneer speakers, any replacement suggestions? I also will be purchasing a JL Audio 500/1v2 monoblock amp instead of the rockford MY BIGGEST CONCERN is what wiring kit should I get for the sub/amp combo?
