just got an eclipse cd3402 am/fm cd player from my cousin in san diego the day before i drove to baja to visit gringo family. (i've got no phone out here and so can't call him before the drive back up.) apparently there is a setting in the player that keeps you from playing a disc until you have set a security disc, which will from then on be the theft guard--if the car battery is turned off or the player is unplugged you can't play cds any more. when i put in a new disc (manu chao's esperanza, straight from the wrapper) it shows error messages and won't even let me eject the disc. i can still get am and fm radio but am at a loss as to how to play cds. any help would be much appreciated. thanks! ada
