EDIT: Decided instead of starting a new thread to just add to this. So my new question is I have gone away with the 10 inch type R and decided to go with the 12''. The box dimension are as followed in LxWxH 24x13.5x13.5. There is a port on the left side that is 1.25'' from the left side of the box and goes the height of the box (if that makes any sense). Now on to my question, the sub woofer will be mounted on the 24x13.5 inch side, and im just wondering wear abouts I should make the center of the sub (ex. 16'' from left side and 6.75'' from bottom)? :END OF EDIT YOU CAN IGNORE EVERYTHING FROM HERE DOWN Okay so I have decided to build my own ported box for a 10 inch type R that it will be sitting in it. My outer dimensions I have decided on (19Lx12Wx12H), which gives me a inner box volume of around 1 cubic foot after the port goes in (about 1.1 ft^3 b4 port). So on too my question, I am having trouble cutting out a good 10 inch circle for the face that the sub will sit on. Anyone have some tricks or a poor-mans 10'' cut out they made. I tried doing it with a jigg saw attached to a 5'' radius, but the thing came out a little wavy and angled. Also I'm still trying to decide on a port height and length and depth, anyone know how to figure this out, I have tried websites but you need to know the LxW to get the D, but and dont know how to get the LxW? Thank You P.S. If you think my box dimensions are whack let me know, I haven't cut anything yet.
