This truck has been more challenging for me than other installs. 2025 Toyota Tundra SR5 without JBL. Factory head into LC5iPRO to DS18 G1000.4D to front Morel Maximo 6 components and rear coaxial. Also the LOC using accubass is feeding a JL JD500.1 pushing two JL 8W3V3 subs. Everything is connected and getting full sound so all electrical and plugs are good but First question is in LOC instruction is to set my “load select.” Crutchfield said 20 ohms, very little sound coming out. Multiple online searches and AI searches are all different. My current setting is 20k ohms but it still seems off. As instructed I turn all my amp gains down, turn off high pass filter on DS18 and increase factory radio to 75%. Then turn the output level up until the light comes on, which it didn’t do at max. That’s on channel 1 which is also set as “sep.” Channel 2 is set as sum/bus to open channel 3 for the sub. Channel to going to the rear doors does the same thing, no light on the Loc. Turn gains up on amp and it sounds so so. I used 1000hz tone. Channel 3, the sub channel I can’t get the accubass level to light until the threshold is totally maxed out using 50hz tone. When I increase the level on the LOC to get decent bass, my JL amp is clipping without gain increased. I’m assuming it’s getting too much voltage in from LOC or something but it seems like the LOC isn’t cooperating with me to get everything correct. First time ever using anything other than a $19 kicker LOC of a rear door wire and I’m so overwhelmed I’m regretting my investment. Anyone willing to help out a very frustrated, non car audio expert with some hand holding? Crutchfield has always done me right, but their specs on the new tundras have been consistently wrong and sending me on wild hunts and working in circles. Thanks for reading, I need a break.
