I need a little help deciding on my sub setup for my '02 crew cab Silverado. Space is the obvious hurdle in my situation considering the vehicle. I am trying to stay away from any sort of major fabrication and I would also like to retain all factory functionality and as much of the factory look as possible. I haven’t purchased the subs, box or amp yet, but am leaning toward low budget, something like the power acoustik line of amps and I have no idea what subs to run. If anyone has better suggestions im all ears. That being said, regarding the box, I have narrowed my options down to 2: 1. Under the rear seat dual 10" box http://www.subthump.com/silverado.htm 2. Possibly taking out the front center seat and replacing it with a box as shown in the picture below (the picture is a JL audio fab'd box, and im just using it as an example, I would make my own) In the past I had an under the seat setup in my crew cab Dodge and it sounded horrible. So I don’t want that to happen with the setup im going to put in the Chevy. For comparison purposes, this is the setup that was in the Dodge: (2) Orion P10D4 Subs - Specs: Dual 4ohm voice coils, sealed box requires .50 cu. ft, ported requires .95 cu. ft., RMS 500w, Peak 1000w. (1) Fosgate BD1001 amp pushing the 2 subs @ 2ohms (1000w to each sub) I used a bandpass box that looked similar to the one pictured below, but it used the truck's floor board compartments to house the bottom of the subs rather than the box. I tried to find a picture of it online, but couldn’t (most likely because its a p.o.s) Thanks in advance for any/all help!
