The P710BT is installed and my opinion is lukewarm at best. Whatever person at Pioneer dreamed up that "joystick" to control the system did so while sitting in a cubicle rather than trying to tweak the system while driving. Horrible, horrible idea. Works perfectly when you're stopped and have the time to play. Try to change a setting while moving and you're risking your car/life. The SQ is better than the Alpine so I have no issues there. The BT works flawlessly so have nothing but praise there regarding phone usage while driving. Mount the microphone appropriately and enjoy the fact that you can speak on your phone through your system. Five stars there. The illumination is horrible. Be prepared to hold your hand over the face to be able to view it. Yes, the unit looks bad *** but if the sun hits it, it's completely unreadable. WTF Pioneer? Can we have a few more options that actually work? The pisser of it is that I did the swap because of the USB access and it doesn't recognize anything but a jump drive. Since it has dual USB ports, I had hoped to use an external USB HDD to replace the changer as well as leaving the other USB port open for quick changes via thumb drives but was apparently mislead by the HU capabilities. I formatted the 250GB drive to FAT32 but the HU will not recognize it. The HU has no issues with the 16GB jump drive but will not recognize the larger drive. It's a work in progress.. Live and learn. My two cents.
