Absolutely the smartest way to go about things...Sounds like an easy decision to me...The question is, what do you (thread poster) value more: a name, and a few cool features, or 1500 watts more power (and likely money in your pocket)? I personally would invest in one or two quality, high power-handling 10's, but that's because I like the surprised reaction when people find out it's 1 or 2 10's in a trunk rather than 15's At least that's how it is in my area, where 1500wrms+ is hard to come by lol Oops, off topic. Like I quoted him saying, sell the W7 and 1000/1, because they both have high resale value (possibly just in correlation with the original high price). Then invest in more power and some 10's. If your car can't handle it, you should have plenty of leftover $$$ to take care of that. And should you decide to get an SE 10, please dear God don't put it in the manufacturer recommended enclosure. I'm guessing you already know that, but seriously...my friend has one in a 1.5cf vented box, and it sounds like horse manure. I can't say I have all that much experience with subs, but my other friends' Treo 10's (forget the model, but they are around 300wrms and one of the lower end models) kill the RE in SQ and almost match it in SPL...I can tell the RE has potential, though. Good luck on the search! The money you could save by selling the JL products can go a long way!
