ok ill try and make this short because i know how people on this site hate to read a long story... here goes so i work for a perishable warehouse shipping produce to stores. we have a union, teamsters to be exact. my job is called a "rate" job which in short means its timed. i.e. i recieve an order thats needs filled and it says it takes 30mins to do it and i do it in 15 mins therefore i ran the order at 200 percent. and this goes on all night for an 8 hour shift. now that you know that i can tell you this. the food chain i work for was bought by a new company in the last year and is cutting the "rate" by 20 percent. so if you run 200 percent on average after the new "rate" kicks in you will only run 180 percent. and i told you that to tell you this. the guys in the union are trying to fight this by slowing down and only running 100 percent which will in turn slow production waaaaaaaaaaaaay down and **** things all up. now this is not an organized slow down which means we were not told to do it by our union but everyone is doing it except me. now everyone is pissed at me and trying to phuck me over everyway they can. im asking for help on how to deal with this???? cause the only option that comes to mind is throwing punches but that will in turn cost me my job..
