[QUOTE="griz145389, post: 345940, member: 550095"] I emerged from the carnage of Christmas with $150 in Circuit City gift certificates, and $150 in cash. Normally, I wouldn't buy car audio from circuit city, but that 150 off might be interesting. I'm not in in a huge need of anything for my system. Right now I have crystal component speakers for the front, and a profile ba400 amp for the components. I have a Brahma 15" that in the mail, and I have an Orion 900.2 amp to drive it with. I built myself a box for the Brahma. I have Knuconceptz wiring for the subs and speakers. For a hu I have a Kenwood kdc-2022. Of all this stuff, I want to upgrade my Kenwood the most. It's specs are 2 preouts that are 1.8 volts, no mp3, has a remote. At Circuit City they have the Alpine CDA9807 for $279 ($129 after my gift certificates) This deck has three preouts at 4 volts, plays mp3's, has pretty good eq control. I know the alpine is an upgrade, but would it be an appreciable one, or would I be better off trying to upgrade other parts of my system? Would I be better off buying this, or going another route and getting some rear fill or an equalizer from somewhere with the $150 cash I have, and get a bunch of dvd's or something from Circuit City?
