Just picked up a 96 Accord as I drive a LOT and my tahoe was getting a ton of miles and stuff. Setup is blown right now, all stock with the exception of an oldish Pioneer head unit. It's a cheaper one from a few years ago but plays MP3's so it will probably do the trick. Oh the trick you ask? I want to hook up a setup that accomplishes the follwing goals: Good quality SQ for live music, jazz etc. Fairly inexpensive. And I don't neccessarily want to have to hook up a sub since it's just a work car. I'm thinking something like a 5.25 comp set up front and a nice set of 6x9's in the rear deck amped. If worse comes to worse I can always put in a 10 or something in the trunk, but again, I'd like it to be worth the difference from the 6x9 rear fill. Can't go 6.5 up front as the factory location is a 6" and I don't want to go to all the work of making it larger, I don't think. Anyone with intimate knowledge of the Accords are obviously welcome. Oh last thing, should I deaden? Budget is really up in the air. I'll look into anything, but don't want to spend thousands on this. I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 if I just upgrade the speakers and buy an amp, or maybe in the 1K range if I decide to upgrade the HU or go with a sub.
